AA Car (Standard) policies typically do cover you driving other cars (if over 25 with full Irish licence). You can confirm you are on an AA Car policy and not an AA Value policy in your policy documents.

How to check if you have cover to drive cars:

Policy Documents

Your policy documents would have been sent to you by post & email when you took out your policy. You can search for emails from mymotordocs@theaa.ie to locate your policy documents in your email. The password for this document will be your date of birth in the format DDMMYYYY.
Within the documents, under Reasons Why, Summary of Cover, you will see the type of policy that you have. This will either be an AA Motor, which is a Standard AA insurance policy, or an AA Value policy or an AA Liberty policy.
