When will I get my rebate?
We’re working closely with our insurance partners, to ensure that all rebates are issued to AA Car Insurance customers as soon as possible. Customers will start receiving their rebates in mid-June and we expect all cheques to have been sent by the end of June.
How much will my rebate be?
The amount due, will vary depending on your insurer. We will be writing to all eligible AA customers individually and detail the amount that can be expected. AA customers who are not eligible, will not receive correspondence.
How will the rebate be paid?
All rebates for AA Car Insurance customers will be paid by cheque, made payable to the policyholder.
I pay for my insurance by direct debit, will my payments be suspended?
No, your rebate will be a one-off payment. You’ll receive a cheque and your direct debit instalments will continue as normal.
Does this have any impact on home insurance?
No, participating insurance companies have only committed to a rebate for car and van insurance customers.
Why is it only motor insurance customers who get a refund?
Cars and vans are spending a lot more time parked up than ever imagined, this means that there is less traffic on the road and therefore fewer accidents. We welcome the decision by some insurers to take savings from reduced claims costs and give money back to motorists.
I’m a renewing customer, will my renewal premium be reduced?
The rebate will be paid to existing car insurance customers only. However, in response to the COVID-19 crisis we have lowered our insurance prices by offering bigger discounts. We also review our panel of leading insurers to get you the best deal possible on your car insurance.
Can I use the rebate as credit towards a future transaction?
No, your rebate will be a one-off payment. You’ll receive a cheque and any direct debit instalments will continue as normal.
Will I get a rebate for my van insurance?
AA van insurance customers insured with AXA, Allianz, Patrona, Zurich and RSA will receive a rebate, the amount will vary between insurers.
